Wholesale Terms

Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a stockist for Smithmade Essentials. This set of wholesale policies is meant to establish a standard of service so that the ins and outs of being a wholesale stockist are clear.

 

Ordering

Order minimum: $100
Minimum reorder: $100

Eligibility
To place a wholesale order you must be a registered business with a state reseller or sale & use tax ID number. At this time, Smithmade Essentials can only accept stockists that are located in the USA.

Lead Time
Some wholesale products are made to order. The lead time for soap is up to 4 weeks. For candles, it’s 1 week.

Shipping & Delivery
We reserve the right to use our discretion as to the carrier to be used on any shipment. We will provide you with a tracking number upon shipment. Smithmade Essentials is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once delivered — please take care to make sure your orders are delivered to you safely.

We don't offer local pickup at this time.

Returns & Exchanges
Wholesale merchandise may not be returned or exchanged. We only accept returns in the case of defective merchandise as detailed below.

Shipping Errors/Damaged Goods
All shipments should be inspected as soon as they arrive to you. If products have been damaged in transit or you find an error in your shipment, notify Smithmade Essentials within 5 days of receipt of your goods. You can do this by emailing Smithmade Essentials at hello@smithmade-essentials.com.

We will work with you to find a solution, whether that be issuing a credit to your account, refunding the order, or sending replacement goods. Please be aware that if products need to be remade, it may take an additional amount of lead time to get your replacement products to you. Shipping and handling fees aren't refundable.

Smithmade Essentials accepts no liability for any loss resulting from the customer’s failure to comply with our carrier’s delivery. If the carrier has to return the shipment to us then the customer will be liable for all shipping charges and credited for all merchandise returned in sellable condition.

Nature of Handmade Products
All of our products are handmade which makes each one unique. Each product may vary slightly from the product picture, but all are carefully crafted.

Product Care
Products should be stocked and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space that's out of direct sunlight.

Feedback
Customer feedback is very appreciated. Observations, ideas, and suggestions help us tailor our collections to have what customers want. We encourage you to point out areas that can be improved as well as give compliments on the things you love!
